deuxieme edition pour ce festival au défunt Théatre du 8ème, cette fois ci sur 2 jours.Super idée de programmation: 1 groupe par pays ! Le débutant Stéphane Eicher (Suisse), Los Desechables (Espagne), Litfiba (Italie).....et surtout,surtout, 2 jours après Killing Joke, un autre de mes goupes favoris de tous les temps : les cultissimes et rarissimes CHROME de San Francisco !!! Un groupe mythique et mystique, à la discographie importante mais dont ça doit être le 5 ème concert planétaire ce soir ! Je suis mortellement fan des 5 ou 6 albums torturés, psychédéliques et apocalyptiques de ce groupe depuis que j'ai découvert le fabuleux "Red exposure" en 1980: les voir en concert relève pour moi du rêve ou de l'hallucination !Le public est scotché et ne comprend rien à leur space rock.Helios Creed, le guitariste supersonique n'est plus là, Damon Edge a recruté une bande de français pour accompagner ses sons de synthé irradiés et sa femme,Fabienne (ex-Shakin'Street) fait les choeurs.Un album,"the Lyon concert",sortira quelques années plus tard.Quel souvenir !Et quelle semaine !

Second edition for this festival at Théatre du 8ème (RIP), this time lasting 2 days.Great line-up idea :1 band per country ! A young Stephan Eicher (Switzerland), Los Desechables (Spain), Litfiba (Italy)......and, 2 days after Killing Joke, another one of my fave-ever band : the rare & absolutely cult CHROME from San Francisco !!!
Mythical, mystical band w/ a huge discography at the time, but only playing their 5th planetary show tonight ! I'm a deadly fan of the 5/6 tortured, psychedelic & apocalyptic albums from this band I first discovered in 1980 w/ the fabulous "Red Exposure" album : to actually see this band live is either a dream or an hallucination to me ! The audience is shocked & don't understand anything to their space-rock ! Helios Creed, their supersonic & legendary guitar player is gone, so Damon Edge has recruited a bunch of frenchies to back him up & his irradiated synth sounds, & his wife Fabienne (ex Shakin' Street) is doing the backing vocals.An album "the Lyon concert",will come out some years later.What a souvenir ! And what a week !
